ISO14001 accreditation and improvement project - Thursday 1st November 2007

Harveys’ environmental goals have always been led from the top of the company and cascaded down throughout our business. We needed to demonstrate our commitment to our green credentials and show our customers how we have improved our business.

We engaged with a major quality accreditation organisation to set out our processes leading to a goal of achieving ISO14001 – these included contract control, audit, training, emergency preparedness, regulations, agency approvals, monitoring and measurement, corrective actions, document control and so on. Each procedure had to be professionally documented and implemented across all aspects of our factory.

The main business motivator for achieving ISO14001 accreditation was not merely to have yet another certificate of grandeur. Instead it is an integral part of our major business improvement program for the future – we strongly believe in ISO14001.

Our accreditation was achieved in November 2007 and we have regular inspection audits to show constant improvements across the company. We can supply you a copy of our certificate if you need to pre-qualify our environmental credentials.
